All exams will be weighed equally and be of the short-answer multiple-guess format. Exams will cover all previously covered material, not just the latest. Make sure you learn the material as we go along and do not wait until the day before an exam to find out you do not understand a key point. Unless it is an absolute emergency I will not be available for consultation during the 2 days before an exam. There shall be no make-up exams, except when indicated by university regulations; after all, this is biology, not cosmetology. Finally, please be aware that I have heard and personally used most excuses, so if you miss an exam you must be exceptionally creative with your excuse, and provide extensive documentation.
